Schroeder
Appointed Vet-Kem Business Manager
Wellmark
International has appointed Cindy Schroeder as Business Manager
for Vet-Kem® products. Schroeder has been with Wellmark and
its predecessor company for more than 12 years.
Vet-Kem,
a brand of Wellmark International, was a pioneer in introducing
insect growth regulators (IGRs) to the pet-care market. Vet-Kem
continues to offer a complete line of flea and tick control products
based on proven IGR technology. Many of these products contain the
active ingredient S-methoprene (brand name Precor® IGR). These
include on-animal and premise products for treating the home.
Schroeder
said, "We are aggressively marketing Vet-Kem products exclusively
through veterinary channels. We are working with a number of key
veterinary distributors to re-establish the Vet-Kem brand in the
marketplace."
In
addition, plans call for introducing several new Vet-Kem products
this year, expanding the current Vet-Kem selection of flea and tick
collars, shampoos, dips, sprays and premise products.
"From
attending recent trade shows, we've found that Vet-Kem has a core
group of past customers who are glad to see us again," said
Schroeder. "We want everyone to know that Vet-Kem, with a renewed
commitment from Wellmark, is here to stay in the veterinary marketplace."
Schroeder
has nearly 20 years of business experience in finance, customer
service, production planning and logistics. She earned a Master
of Business Administration degree from DePaul University. She also
is the proud owner of an Akita and an Australian cattle dog.
Located
in Schaumburg, Ill., Wellmark International is a leading producer
of chemical and biological products for professional pest control.
